The CONSILIUL JUDETEAN HARGHITA is an elected public authority (County Council) in the region of Harghita (RO), which provides services for the residents of the region and contributes to the local growth by means of development programmes. In the framework of the County council there are different subordinated institutions, one of them specifically devoted to Arts and Culture: the "Cultural Centre", which pays great attention to visual arts, mainly in cooperation with other cultural operators in the province.
