8 EUROPEAN ARTISTS FROM THE CreArt NETWORK SELECTED AMONG 140 PROPOSALS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ARTIST IN RESIDENCE PROGRAMME HOSTED BY ATELIERHAUS SALZAMT IN LINZ (AUSTRIA) DURING 2013.
Atelierhaus Salzamt in Linz (Austria) after taking into consideration the 140 proposals submitted in the past month ,has announced the list of 8 artists that will participate in the Artist in Residence programme organised within the framework of the EU funded project CreArt (Network of Cities for Artistic Creation). These local artists from the CreArt cities will have the opportunity to spend two months in this artist residency space run by the City of Linz, centrally located on the Danube.

Jolanta Kyzikaite from Vilnius (Lithuania)
Ruta Butkute from Kaunas (Lithuania)
One of the most important goals of the CreArt project is to focuse on training, innovation and experimentation programmes for the promotion of creativity. Through these Artist in Residence programmes that will be hosted soon in other CreArt cities, we aim to establish a permanent system of mobility, exchange and joint work experiences among artists from different cultural traditions across Europe.

APPLICATION 2013 CreArt
Thank you for letting us know that you are interested in Atelierhaus Salzamt Linz project as part of CreArt. Linz in Austria invites 8 artists from the CreArt Network to work for two months in the Atelierhaus Salzamt in the following periods:
- April/May
- August/September
- October/November
CONDITIONS AND STIPEND
Organization will reimburse to artists travel expenses to Linz (up to 600 €). Studio and accommodation is free. Furthermore, 1000 € per month (250 euro per week) will be payed to artists.
ACCOMODATION
The Atelierhaus Salzamt is an artist residency space run by the City of Linz, centrally located on the Danube. It is a beautiful old building renovated in 2009 with bright studios and a small restaurant serving local food. The site provides five studios for international artist in residence, four studios for local artists from Linz or Upper Austria, accommodation for international artists, and exhibition spaces. WHO CAN APPLY
Local artists –born or resident- in any of the cities taking part in “CreArt. Network of Cities for Artistic Creation”. Preference is given to works with a wide variety and diversity. Visual artists up to 40 years can apply, it is necessary to have a degree in a field of art (university level). If the applicant does not have a university degree, proof of equivalent ability must be provided through his or her artistic career.In a period of two month you will work towards a final public presentation.

The following attached documentation is required:
• id or passport (scanned copy)
• A short version of your resume/CV
• Documentation material recent and related to the project (not more then 5 pictures).
• A short written project proposal (not more then one A4).
Only applications with complete information will be accepted.
It must be submitted before February 25th 2013
Once the application form is submitted, an automatic confirmation e-mail will be sent.
