The members of the CreArt Network have recently appointed Ms. Ilaria Bonacossa to be the European Curator in charge of the First CreArt Itinerant Exhibition. Ilaria Bonacossa graduated in History of Art by the Universitá Statale of Milán (Italy), has a Master in Curatorial Studies and Art in Contemporary Culture by the  Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College, NY, and she has got already a broaden experience in curating exhibitions in Italy, New York, London or Paris.

 

The First CreArt Itinerant Exhibition will start this summer in Valladolid and will be held then in Lecce and Arad, until January2014. Inthis moment the procedure for selecting the local artists that will participate representing each of the Creart cities has already started. Final participants will be announced in the following months.

 

ILARIA BONACOSSA

Ilaria Bonacossa (1973) founding member of Art at Work (2009), cultural innovative platform that manages, commissions and develops projects of contemporary art, working also in profit and non-profit sectors as consulting agency of Villa Croce - Museum of Contemporary Art in Genoa. She managed in 2008-2009 the program of Residence for Young Curators at the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengodi in Turin, where from 2003-2008 she was working as Senior Curator. Among the many exhibitions that she has developed, the most significant are: Il Coraggio (2010), Greenwashing.Ambiente: Pericoli, Promesse and Perplessità (2008), Subcontingente, Il Subcontinente Indiano nell'Arte Contemporanea (2006) oltre a D-Segni (2004¬–2005), a cycle of five monographic exhibitions of emergent internatioanl artists. In 2007 she was a member of Jury for Golden Lions during the 52nd Biennale of Venice as well as a member of Technical Committee for Purchases for the Frac of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur in Marseille.

She is responsible for  Italy of London trust of APT (Artist Pension Trust), international programme for supporting of carriers for international artists.

 

Bonacossa writes regularly for Mousse Magazine, and she has published numerous texts for Italian and international catalogues, as il Palais de Tokyo and Le Carréd'Art, Nîmes. For Phaidon she published new monographic for Marlene Dumas (2010) and with Roma publications she published monographic catalogue of Kees Goudswaard in occasion of his personal exhibition at Stedelijk Museum Schiedam (2011). She will be a co-curator of personal exhibition of Katrin Sigurdardottir for Icelander pavilion in2013 inoccasion of Biennale of Visual Arts in Venice.
